Write classes, set lessons, mark work, and see how each child is doing — on phones you own, through a server you run. Nothing about your children goes anywhere you haven't approved.
Parents
Make a home group for your children on one phone, or across the family's phones with a small server on the family computer. Assign classes, mark answers, grant retakes, and open each child's dashboard for a report card and every question they answered. A second parent can be named to see the same.
Home Server
A small program for the family computer. It keeps every phone in the family in step, carries the children's work to both parents, and shows a page in a browser with each child's report card, who is connected, the joining word, and backups: a copy of everything on the server whenever you like, kept for as long as you choose. It also carries the forgotten-username and password emails when the family isn't part of an organization.
Schools and Organizations
Run a GatherU server on an ordinary computer. Staff manage a catalog, approve requests, mark work, run terms and certifications, and read analytics in a browser. Families connect their phones with a joining word. Everything stays on your server.
Private by Design
No accounts with us, no ads, and no data harvesting. A backup of an account is sealed with a passphrase only its owner knows. Organizations' servers never call home, and the phone app never talks to anyone but the servers you join.
